Saint Peter (dead man ca. in the 67) was one of the twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ of the New Testament. Its name originates them was Simone, but it came nicknamed Peter, that it means stone in Greek (Petros). Saint Paul called it Cephas or Kephas, that it is the equivalent in Aramaic of the nickname. Before becoming a disciple of Jesus, Simone (that is, Peter) had been a fisherman.
